Have you ever heard of bruaca? What is bruaca? This is a traditional northeast sweet pancake that is also called a skillet cake and leather hat. It is ready in less than 15 minutes and is prepared with 5 very simple ingredients: wheat flour, milk, sugar, egg and margarine.

Ingredients for making sweet Bruaca:

 ½ cup unleavened wheat flour

 ½ cup of sugar (80 grams)

 1 cup of milk (240 milliliters)

 1 egg

 1 tablespoon of margarine

How to make sweet Bruaca:

Mix all ingredients in a bowl or blender until you get a creamy, slightly runny, lump-free mixture.

Tip: In this recipe it will not yeast.

Put a drizzle of oil in a skillet and bring to medium heat. When it is hot, place a small ladle of dough, spread it in the pan and cook on medium low heat.

When the pancake is firm, turn it over to brown on the other side as well. Then remove to a plate and repeat in the same way with the remaining dough.

Tip: If the bruaca is taking a long time to cook, cover the pan and lower the heat.
